About me

I am originally from San Francisco and feel most at home along the California coast. In my free time I love slow mornings, long walks, reading, being in the ocean and exploring new recipes, music and places with loved ones. I find joy and awe in the resilience of humans - and like all natural beings, how we create life and beauty no matter where we find ourselves.

Prior to becoming a therapist, I worked in marketing and sales at various tech companies including Pinterest and a small digital advertising start-up in San Francisco. That season of my life, followed by a shift to pursue a path in holistic psychotherapy, has helped give me perspective and understanding for the opportunities, challenges and crossroads that many of my clients face.

Whatever brings you here now, I trust the wisdom in your timing. I am so grateful to be with my clients on their journeys, and I look forward to meeting you too.

In our therapeutic relationship, my style is warm, authentic and compassionate. I cherish the privilege of hearing your story, and I’m also curious about what happens for you as you tell it - inviting pause and curiosity to see if we are moving at a pace that feels easeful. I have found that this practice of slowing down and including body-mind awareness can be healing in and of itself, offering a way of being that is both relaxing and empowering.

I work particularly well with women who are called to long-term growth and healing, even when the road isn’t always easy or linear. I see my role as your witness, companion and guide throughout the process. In my experience, in addition to a safe relationship, body-mind awareness also offers itself as both a resting place and a pathway for deeper exploration - towards new and often life-changing horizons that come with a commitment to this journey.

My holistic approach

I find that using a holistic approach in psychotherapy together can be calming, real and transformative. My personal approach invites collaboration, a present moment focus and integration of body-mind. I hold the therapeutic relationship as sacred and I welcome women of all ages, body sizes, abilities, races, countries of origin, sexual orientations, and religious and cultural backgrounds in my practice.

Just like with life experience, I believe personal healing is unique and interconnected. In our work together we’ll make room to explore what’s here now: within you as well as with the relationships, sociocultural contexts, and natural environments that impact you and your wellbeing.

With that, I acknowledge the systems of power, privilege and oppression that we live in and how they may show up in therapy. I am committed to anti-racist work and strive to offer culturally and identity-affirming care for all clients.

Therapeutic orientation

I largely orient from a lens of Hakomi Mindful Somatic Psychotherapy, a comprehensive body-centered approach to Psychotherapy that integrates Eastern principles of non-violence and mindfulness, and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy (SP), a holistic modality for resourcing and processing traumatic experience. I’ve completed the Hakomi and SP Level 1 intensive trainings, as well as SP webinars on sociocultural perspectives and complex grief.

I received my M.A. in Somatic Psychology from the California Institute of Integral Studies, and my B.S. from the Haas School of Business at UC Berkeley.

In addition to my formal education and training, I draw from various teachers over the years (including clients!), spiritual practices, and nature. The lineages of yoga, breema, holistic psychotherapy, intersectional feminism and rites of passage have supported my own healing journey and greatly impact my work as a psychotherapist.
